Glamping was new to us so as old fogies we were slightly anxious,” Off camping then” our daughter in law laughed.

We were delighted to find a lovely pod.

It was superior in fittings, warmth , king sized bed, hotel standard shower room, comfort and kind little extras to most of our previous cottage breaks.

Add uninterrupted solitude and views and a hot tub… lets go glamping again soon!

The warm welcome, fresh farm eggs and genuine concern for customer satisfaction were exemplary.

Fabulous spa and all facilities on site … luxury products , skilled highly experienced therapist and relaxing purpose built studio.

The Kirkstyle Inn 15 minutes away is a well known treasure. We were delighted to return for a superb dinner which would shame many a city restaurant but at half the price

Then back to relax unwind and kick back at the very aptly named Maycroft Retreat

Absolutely wonderful experience staying at Maycroft Retreat. Denise and Grant were kind, friendly and attentive hosts.

Nothing was too much trouble, from arrival - to treatments - to answering the occasional question.. the experience of staying at Maycroft Retreat was exceptional.

My husband & I stayed in Heather pod for 4 nights. We made good use of the hot tub, enjoyed the beautiful scenery and peaceful surroundings, used the kitchenette to cook breakfast and other meals, enjoyed meeting the friendly local wildlife (Ollie the cat, Jacky the Jackdaw and a little Stoat who ran around in the long grass every morning!).

I had two massage treatments in the spa during our stay. I highly recommend Denise, she is an intuitive and kind massage therapist.

The pod was very clean, bed SO comfortable and everything you need in there for a great stay.

Also, the water quality was excellent, the best natural spring water in Scotland!

We’ll definitely be back!

My wife and I just had four wonderful nights at this haven in Perthshire. To call this glamping seems a disservice as we couldn’t have been better looked after. The Heather pod had everything we needed including a very comfy bed and a powerful shower. Sitting in the lounge area watching the wildlife as the sun goes down with a glass of wine was magical, especially the wee stoat that came and gave us an acrobatic display. The wood fired hot tub was amazing, my wife now wants one! Soaking the aches away after a walk in the hills was a great way to start the evening. I can’t really state how much we enjoyed our peaceful stay. The retreat is in the middle of the hills yet is easy to get to with great links for exploring Perth, St Andrews etc. many thanks to Denise and her family for looking after us so well.

Truly a wonderful experience from beginning to end in this beautiful part of Scotland. Denise and Grant have created a business that invites us to take time away from the every day stresses of life in general and leave our worries at home albeit for a short while and soak up all Maycroft has to offer whether it be long or short walks in the countryside talking to the animals, visiting surrounding areas of interest or chilling at your pod either in the hot tub, enjoying a sauna and the cold plunge bath or curling up inside with a book/magazine or getting lost in the sound of silence with the amazing views our countryside has to offer. For me it was a tonic and more than the doctor could have ordered! I want to return in different season's and see the different colours each has to offer, new beginnings in the Springtime my favourite season. The lambing season, new life and the tiny heads appearing with spring flowers pushing through after the sleepiness of winter. Also Summer and feel the surrounding area flourish with sunshine and laughter and just enjoy the simple things of life..Nature at its best! 🌈 🍀🌻

Well what can we say, we floated home feeling refreshed and reset after our wonderful stay for 2 nights.
We are huge sauna, cold drips and massage fans, this retreat will be hard to beat.
The best sauna experience we've had (and we've had many) the heat from the sauna was incredible, the whole set up works perfectly as its so close to accommodation.
The wild spa had everything we could want and laid perfect on the hillside.
All of the accommodation was pristine, the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. The views from the window made it hard to leave. We did a digital detox and it was the perfect setting,
Hot tub was perfectly positioned.
The back massages were incredible and had us floating around the whole day after.

Close by was the perfect cold swim/dip fairy pools and a lovely waterfall, which we absolutely loved for a cold plunge and the little map to find it made it so easy to find.
Its so laid back and relaxed we felt at ease instantly thanks to our wonderful host.
